Introduction
This patient has a punched out lesion on the side of the face with a large area of inflammation surrounding the lesion. The edges of the lesion are slightly raised but otherwise clean. The patient was diagnosed as having a basal cell carcinoma.

Method of Treatment
The patient was treated with CURADERM-BEC5 being applied directly onto the lesion twice daily.

Description of Treatment
After some time on treatment with CURADERM, the lesion actually looks worse. That is, the lesion is now definitely raised and looking more aggressive than what it was to begin with. There is now some white covering in the center of the lesion and it appears that the redness is now well demarcated.

Results
The patient however continued to apply CURADERM and eventually the lesion regressed and disappeared altogether. Normal skin then returned and covered the whole area.

Conclusion
This patient was again successfully treated with CURADERM and follow up revealed no recurrence of the disease.
